What is BreathNote? 

BreathNote (TM)  is a music label that focuses on BFS-Respiratory Pacing Music that is rhythmically structured to pace listeners through slow deep breathing.


Why use BreathNote?
BreathNote (TM)  uses Auditory-Motor Synchronization to train your diaphragm to work in specific time intervals. Musical auditory cues provide consistent pacing to develop your respiratory muscles and to build muscle memory. This makes it nearly automatic for you to switch from everyday breathing to deep, diaphragmatic breathing so you can access the benefits of slow breathing in any situation.

How do I use BreathNote music?  
Click HERE for a 30 sec. instructional video or follow these steps:
 
start with an exhale, then:
1. INHALE when you hear a CHORD.

2. HOLD BREATH when you hear a SINGLE NOTE.
3. EXHALE when you hear the next CHORD.
4. HOLD BREATH when you hear a SINGLE NOTE
REPEAT this pattern until the end of each track.

When will I start to feel the benefits of Slow Deep Breathing (SDB)?
Most feel calm within 5 minutes. Studies show that clinically noticeable results occur with an SDB practice of 5min/day for 6 weeks.


How often should I do Slow Deep Breathing? 
A daily self-care practice to build muscle memory is recommended.  Slow deep nasal breathing has been shown to yield measurable results when performed for 5 minutes/day for 6 weeks.   Additionally, SDB whenever you need to feel calmed. 

Is slow deep breathing safe? 
Yes! Slow Deep Breathing is a non-invasive, drug-free, screen-free, all-natural method.
While unlikely, some may feel lightheaded if they are new to breathwork.  If, for any reason, these exercises make you feel lightheaded, or if you have trouble breathing, STOP and return to your normal breathing! If you have respiratory issues or any medical conditions that make breathing difficult, consult with your healthcare provider to see if these exercises are right for you.
