BFS-Respiratory Pacing Music is a genre of music created by Fernando David Pinon in 2021 and features rhythms based on the intervals of slow deep breathing.
It was developed as a training tool for freediving when Fernando was training in November of 2021.
The music was a way to guide breathing patterns over long periods without having to count or look at a watch; The goal was to boost overall respiratory strength and to lower the heart rate as much as possible.
After researching how slow deep breathing can be applied beyond freediving, BreathNote was launched as a music publishing company to make BFS-Respiratory Pacing Music available to everyone.
Today, BreathNote is on a mission to improve wellness worldwide by making breathwork accessible through music.
